This was a commission by Stranger Magazine to illustrate an article by Michelle Stiles asking the question "What makes a drug popular with one generation and passe with the next?". The small Kernow surf culture magazine was only on it's 4th issue at the time and has gone from strength to strength because of the teams passion to stay fresh. Great magazine, go buy it!

Gendall Design 20th Birthday poster
Client:
Gendall Design
Info:
This poster had to incorporate 20 years at Gendall Design by using things such as the amount of scalpels, versions of Photoshop, Cow gum, Brain storm meetings, cups of tea and Viagra the team had got through in 20 years in business. A great challenge, which was then used as invites, posters and book covers. The poster is very intricate and the image opposite is just a snippet of the whole beast, however, I've created a larger version which can be viewed by clicking the link below.

Eden Project Xmas Campaign
Client:
The Eden Project
Info:
This was a huge commission that covered all forms of printed material from 96 sheet billboards to Xmas hats, cups, pencils, book marks... and so on. Commissioned by Gendall Design to try and capture the feel of the Eden Project's Xmas experience with their new ice rink over the festive period. This really was a privilege to illustrate an event that had never been seen or run before, it worked so well they commissioned me again the following year. Can't say my ice skating was the best, pretty good at the splits now though!

This illustration is just a small part of a larger one commissioned by Japanese fashion designer Michiko Koshino for her summer '99 cat walk range. The brief was quite open so I took the t raditional Japanese icons and Kimono designs and gave them a more modern interpretation which then got printed on Hawaian style shirts. This commission also included logos and fabric repeats which were integrated into Michiko's Yen Jeans brand. A turning point for me, thanks Michiko.

A great educational resource that should be made public. If only so you can see all the hard work!

This was an unusual job, creating a designers corporate guideline book for the use of the Tom.com logo around the world, but in the style of a comic book! Great idea.

Every summer I take part in this competition, and illustrate the poster to get the locals in their boats for a bit of a giggle and generally catch the biggest fish, can't say I'm the best fisherman out there or even come close, so I'm still considering the hand grenade approach, and feed the masses with little effort.
