Empowering women

One of a set of illustrations for the COOPS Europe brochure which promotes international development through cooperatives.

This particular illustration was focussed on the work COOPS Europe do to help empower women:

“a significant number of cooperatives have been established by women to enable them to secure an income, whilst in countries such as Kenya gender quotas are required for cooperative Boards”.

Throughout the set of illustrations I’ve focussed on the energy of the moment to influence the composition and used iconography to help get the narrative across.
