Building local expertise – Cocoa Farmers

One of a set of illustrations for the COOPS Europe brochure which promotes international development through cooperatives.

This particular illustration was focussed on the work COOPS Europe do to help build local expertise and profits:

“because cooperatives are run by and for local people, they develop and pass on the business expertise. Profits generated stay local and are invested in the cooperative, the local area or distributed to the local owners”.

Throughout the set of illustrations I’ve focussed on the energy of the moment to influence the composition and used iconography to help get the narrative across.
